Microblading

A semi-permanent tattoo technique used to create the illusion of fuller brows. Very fine, hair-like strokes are tattooed into the skin to build the natural look of real eyebrow hairs.

How it works

A small, uniquely designed hand-held tool implants semi-permanent pigment into the skin. Because the pigment sits in the upper region of the dermis, it fades more rapidly than a standard tattoo. Results last anywhere from one to three years depending on your skin type and skin care regimen, and annual touch-up or color-boost sessions keep brows looking vibrant and fresh.

Your appointment

Your brow specialist works with you on placement, sizing, and color. You can go lighter and more natural, or fuller and bolder. Before the procedure begins, your specialist measures and sketches the placement of the brows — starting with the center of the face and the set of your eyes. The starting point, arch, and ending point are determined by whether your eyes are normal, close-set, or wide-set.

Topical anesthetic cream is applied beforehand to ensure maximum comfort.

Aftercare

Avoid saunas, facials, steam baths, physical activity that causes excessive sweating, tanning salons, sun, and chlorinated or salt water pools for a minimum of one week — preferably two — after your procedure.
