Double board-certified facial plastic surgeon
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Sandel has always valued connection, craftsmanship, and care — principles that continue to guide his work today.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia and earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina, where he graduated with honors.
Dr. Sandel went on to complete his residency in Head and Neck Surgery and Otolaryngology at Georgetown University Medical Center. It was there that he discovered a deep passion for facial plastic surgery and the unique ability it offers to restore confidence while preserving each patient’s natural features. He pursued advanced fellowship training in facial plastic surgery at one of the nation’s most respected programs, refining both his technical skill and artistic eye.
After years of intensive training and time in private practice, Dr. Sandel moved to the Annapolis area in 2008 with a vision: to create a welcoming, specialized center devoted entirely to facial plastic surgery and skin care. He focused his practice on facial rejuvenation procedures such as facelifts, eyelid and brow lifts, and rhinoplasty, bringing a level of personalized, state-of-the-art facial care that was new to the community.
Patients quickly recognized Dr. Sandel not only for his natural-looking results, but for his thoughtful, unhurried approach and genuine commitment to understanding their goals. As his practice grew, so did his reputation for excellence and trust.
Dr. Sandel takes pride in creating lasting relationships with his patients and helping them feel confident, refreshed, and truly themselves. His blend of experience, artistry, and compassion continues to define the care he provides every day.
“Facial Plastic Surgery is a truly rewarding specialty. Whether it’s seeing someone’s improved self esteem after rhinoplasty surgery, greater feeling of health and vibrancy after aging face surgery, or restored appearance after the devastation of skin cancer, these transformations make all the hard work worthwhile. Education, kindness, and expertise is at the heart of every patient encounter.”
