Silicone implants
Today’s silicone gel implants are designed to provide a soft, natural feel and movement while creating a smooth, feminine contour. Dr. Duggal offers Motiva® and Sientra® silicone implants, with selection tailored to your anatomy, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals.
Saline implants
Filled with sterile saltwater, saline implants can be a good option for women who prefer a slightly firmer feel or want the reassurance of immediate visibility if a leak occurs.
Fat transfer
Fat is gently harvested from areas such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs, purified, and strategically placed in the breasts for subtle, natural-looking fullness. For women who are naturally slender or prefer to avoid liposuction, Dr. Duggal also offers AlloClae™ shelf-stable fat as an alternative.
Implant position
Subglandular placement sits above the chest muscle and beneath the breast tissue. Subpectoral placement is positioned partly or fully beneath the pectoralis muscle.

Scar placement
Common incision patterns include a short crease incision hidden in the inframammary fold and a periareolar incision tracing the edge of the areola.
Dr. Duggal places breast implants through the inframammary fold, a carefully planned incision hidden within the natural crease beneath the breast — kept as short and discreet as possible while prioritizing precise placement, symmetry, and beautiful, natural-looking results.

Most breast augmentations are performed at the West Annapolis Surgery Center under light anesthesia and take about 1 to 1½ hours, longer if combined with procedures such as a breast lift or liposuction. After a brief stay in the recovery area, most patients return home the same day with a trusted friend or family member.

Starting non-narcotic medications the night before surgery to lessen the need for opioids afterward
Using long-acting local anesthetics during surgery to keep early discomfort under control
A streamlined, minimally traumatic surgical technique to reduce bruising and swelling
What recovery looks like
First few days: swelling, tightness, and soreness are expected, typically manageable with prescribed medication and a supportive surgical bra.
Around 3–5 days: many patients with office-based jobs are ready to return to work, depending on how they feel and the demands of the job.
Around 2 weeks: light, non-impact activity may be resumed when cleared by Dr. Duggal.
Around 6 weeks: more vigorous exercise, heavy lifting, and higher-impact activity typically resume once you are fully cleared.
