One building, start to finish
Consultation, surgery, recovery, and every follow-up visit happen at 104 Ridgely Avenue, in the same 11,000 square foot building. You are not sent across town to an unfamiliar facility on the morning of your procedure.
A dedicated operating suite
The surgical suite is part of the practice, staffed by people who work with our surgeons every day rather than a rotating hospital roster.
Board-certified anesthesia
Anesthesia is provided by credentialed anesthesia professionals, with the approach discussed and chosen for you before the day of surgery.
Private recovery
Recovery takes place in a private space with a nurse present, and your designated driver is kept informed rather than left in a waiting room.
Continuity of staff
The team that meets you at your consultation is the team present on the day. Familiar faces matter more than most patients expect.
Discretion by design
Entry, parking, and scheduling are arranged so that a visit here does not have the feel of a hospital appointment.
The day itself
Five stages, no surprises.
01 · Before
Pre-operative instructions, medication review, and a confirmed arrival time. We tell you what to stop taking, when to stop eating, and who needs to drive you.
02 · Arrival
You check in at the practice, change, and meet your surgeon and the anesthesia provider. Markings and final photographs are done here.
03 · Procedure
Your surgeon operates in our suite with the same team present throughout. Your driver is given an expected timeframe.
04 · Recovery
You wake in a private recovery area with a nurse. Once you meet discharge criteria and instructions have been reviewed with your driver, you go home — or, if you have arranged one, to an overnight recovery suite here in the building.
05 · After
Written instructions, a direct number to reach us, and a scheduled follow-up. Most questions during recovery are answered the same day.

Your evening with us
Evening
Once your surgeon clears you from the procedure room, you are welcomed to your suite and introduced to your nurse.
Dinner
Dinner, snacks and beverages are served as you rest, with plush pillows and fine linens prepared for the night ahead.
Overnight
Your nurse checks on you through the night, keeping you comfortable and managing discomfort so you can sleep.
Morning
After a final check and any last guidance from your nurse, you are discharged to your designated driver — rested, supported, and ready to recover at home.

for your overnight stay
One flat fee covers your private suite, overnight nursing care, pain management and meals.
The fee is non-refundable unless cancellation occurs at least two weeks before your scheduled surgery. Let our team know when scheduling your procedure and we will prepare your suite for the evening of surgery.

Cost
What owning our surgery center means for your cost
One figure, quoted in writing before you decide.
West Annapolis Surgery Center is ours. It is in the same building as our office, it is fully accredited, and it is staffed by the same nurses, scrub techs and anesthesia team every day.
What that means for your cost
We set the facility fee
Because we own the center, we set the facility fee ourselves. There is no hospital or outside surgery center charge passed along to you.
Our team is quicker
Facility and anesthesia fees are billed by time, so a shorter operation costs less and you spend less time under anesthesia.
That efficiency comes from repetition, not from doing less: the procedure is the same one, performed by people who do it together every week.
Every cosmetic fee covers
Quoted as one figure, in writing, before you decide. Typical costs are on each procedure page. Where a procedure is medically necessary and billed to insurance, anesthesia is billed separately. Financing is available.
