Shira Leighty, RN, has been a valued member of the Sandel Duggal team for more than 15 years. She began her career at Anne Arundel Medical Center before joining the practice as Dr. Sandel’s nurse. Over the years, she transitioned into an aesthetic laser nurse and most recently launched the practice’s Health & Wellness Program, bringing together her passion for beauty, wellness, and helping patients feel their best from the inside out.

Shira has a genuine passion for helping people and building meaningful relationships with her patients. She believes exceptional care is about more than treatments — it’s about listening, connecting, and making every patient feel comfortable and cared for. A natural “hand-holder,” she brings warmth, compassion, and a personal touch to every patient interaction.

Outside of work, Shira’s greatest joy is her husband and two children. She loves cheering them on in their sports, spending time at the beach, and staying active.
