Dr. Henry D Sandel IV, MD FACS is originally from Charleston, South Carolina. He attended college at the University of Virginia and medical school at the University of South Carolina where he graduated with honors. After medical school, Dr. Sandel was selected for residency in Head and Neck Surgery, Otolaryngology at Georgetown University Medical Center. He then decided to subspecialize in Facial Plastic Surgery and was selected for one of the top fellowships in the country.

After completing extensive training and gaining valuable experience in private practice, Dr. Sandel came to the Annapolis area in 2008, to open a center specializing in facial plastic surgery and skin care. With his career dedicated to surgical and nonsurgical treatments in the face and neck, Dr. Sandel brought to Annapolis a highly specialized, state-of-the-art care that had not been seen before in this area. Gaining a reputation for excellence in patient care and surgical outcomes, The Sandel Center grew quickly. In 2014, Dr. Sandel moved his practice to West Annapolis and partnered with Dr. Claire Duggal to form the Sandel Duggal Center for Plastic Surgery.

“Facial Plastic Surgery is a truly rewarding specialty. Whether it’s seeing someone’s improved self esteem after rhinoplasty surgery, greater feeling of health and vibrancy after aging face surgery, or restored appearance after the devastation of skin cancer, these transformations make all the hard work worthwhile. We have created a center here in Annapolis that is one of the best in the nation. Taking care of patients is what we do best, and we do this in a state-of-the-art center that is second to none. Education, kindness, and expertise is at the heart of every patient encounter”
